Scope of cover
This policy covers damage resulting from loss of or damage to your trailer/horse-drawn vehicle with any accessoiries as a result of:
- theft with breaking and entering and vandalism with breaking and entering
- fire, lightning, explosion or collapse
- flood, earthquake, storm and objects falling as a result of storm
- any other external calamity, however named
This cover applies not only during use, stabling and transport but also during time spent at examinations, equestrian events and horse races, with the exception of circumstances as specified in article 3 (additional exclusions) of the conditions of the trailer/horse-drawn vehicle insurance.
Compensation
The amount of compensation depends on the nature and extent of the damage. The conditions of the trailer/horse-drawn vehicle insurance explain how it is calculated. The excess is €100 on each claim. This does not apply in the case of total write-off.
Premium
The premium for this policy is 2.5% of the insured value of your car/vehicle per annum.
Applying for insurance
The following are required when requesting this policy:
- a completed and signed application form
- purchase invoice/taxation report of your vehicle
- a colour photograph of your vehicle
