The Comprehensive sickness insurance may be taken out only as a supplement to a basic policy or a stud policy.
Scope of cover
The Comprehensive sickness insurance reimburses the costs incurred for examination/treatment by any vet in the Netherlands and/or in Belgium. This policy covers the cost of both first-line and second-line care.
With this policy (as previously explained), there is also a link between the basic policy and the Comprehensive sickness insurance that is taken out.
Given the cover of this policy, we can offer a Comprehensive sickness insurance only if you live in Belgium or in the Netherlands.
Compensation
The Comprehensive sickness insurance has an excess of 25% with a minimum of €50,- per claim.
Preventive treatments and normal maintenance are excluded from cover. The cost of orthopaedic shoes (only on the advice of the vet) may be reimbursed maximum twice per insurance year.

The compensation will under no circumstances exceed 100% of the insured value of your horse with a maximum of €5.000,- per insurance year.
Premium
The premium for the Comprehensive sickness insurance is €200,- per annum.
