Payment on the sickness insurance
The sickness insurance offer a refund of the declared medical expenses, less any non-insured costs and less the excess. The excess is 25% with a minimum of €50 per claim.
Declaration of medical expenses
If you have taken out Death Insurance with hospitalisation, as well as the original bill you must send us a treatment form completed and signed by your veterinarian. We also need this form if you have taken out Comprehensive sickness insurance. If you opted for a limited sickness insurance, we will need a referral form. This form must be completed by the vet who referred you to the veterinary specialist. Also send us a report from the specialist.
You can send the completed and signed form to us along with the original invoice. Upon receipt, we will determine whether the declared costs are covered. You will in all cases receive a written reply to your declaration. If we decide that compensation should be paid, the amount will be transferred directly to you (possibly through your agent). It is not possible to transfer payments to the vet or clinic.
You will in all cases receive a treatment form or referral form (depending on the selected cover) with your documents at the start of the policy.
